Jarel Paul Sanders

Jarel Paul Sanders, 90 of Allen, Oklahoma passed away on January 1, 2018 in Lexington, Oklahoma. He was born on April 26, 1927 in Calvin, Oklahoma to Emery Napoleon Sanders and Ardelia Dee (Yeager) Sanders. Jarel attended Atwood and Leader Schools. Jarel served our country honorably in the United States Army and served during the Koren War. Afterwards, he returned home and met the love of his life, Wanda Mae Holman. The couple married on December 8, 1955 in Ada, Oklahoma. He began a career as a mechanic working on cars for Peyton Wright Ford in Grapevine, Texas. He moved back to the Allen area began working for Bowie Ballard Ford Motor Company in Ada, Oklahoma until his retirement. He was great with numbers and could always win at dominos. He loved his dogs, Gizzmo and Benji.

He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings Clarence Sanders, Lowell Sanders, Dwayne Sanders, Nolen Sanders, Doil Sanders, and Cecil Sanders.

He is survived by his children Albert Bailey and wife Pamela of Royce City, Texas, James Bailey and wife Vannie of Allen, and Rebecca Lee and husband Wayne of Coalgate, grandchildren Michelle, Michael, Jeb, Andrea, Stephanie, Cassy, LeRhonda, Parker, Brian, Kevin, great-grandchildren James, Chris, Matthew, Kailey, Addison, Alex, Lilly, Callie, Lace, Karter, Jessica, Hunter, Jocelyn, Ava, Payton, Aiden, Jules, sister Thelma Davidson of Sand Springs, brother Carl Holman and wife Betty of Arlington, Texas, best friend LaFaye McCarter, sister-in-law Geraldean Holman, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service is scheduled for 2:00PM on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Allen. Rev. Aaron Finney, Rev. Troy Byrd, and Rev. Chad Kaminski will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Patrick Gregory, Michael Bailey, Jeb Bailey, Derek Bills, Theron Jessop, Brian Lee, Kevin Lee, James Gregory, Christopher Gregory, Matthew Gregory, and Parker Lee. Honorary bearers are Paul Sanders, Terry Sanders, Harold Sanders, Donnie Sanders, Eddie Sanders, Larry Sanders, Kathy Evans, and Ginger Skippy. Interment will follow at the Allen Cemetery in Allen. Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
