Ella Harjo, age 98 of Sasakwa, OK departed this life on Friday evening, January 5, 2018 at her home in Sasakwa, OK She was born February 4, 1919 in Sasakwa, OK to the late Abraham Davis and Hillie Chupco. She attended Sacred Heart Schools.
Ella married Louis Harjo and he preceded her in death. She was a life long member of Spring Baptist Church. Her hobbies were gardening, watching western movies ,cooking, Church camping and visiting with her family and friends.
Preceding Ella in death are her parents, husband, son Lloyd Lee Harjo, six brothers, one sister, infant son Floyd Harjo, infant daughter Hilda Harjo and baby girl Harjo.
Survivors include children Wynema Harjo Peterson, of Sasakwa, OK, Vernon Harjo (Linda Buck) of Holdenville, OK, Wilbert Harjo, of Seminole, OK, Gilbert Harjo and wife Judy of OKC, Ramona Noriega Harjo of Glenpool, OK, Peggy Harjo Wood of Konawa, OK and Louis Harjo Jr. of Sasakwa, OK ; twenty grandchildren, fifty great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Wake service will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Spring Baptist Church, with Past Frank Moppin officiating and assisted by Pastors Kelos Walker and Leon Postoak.
Pall bearers will be Paul Postoak, Micco Cummings, Buster Harjo, Winfred Harjo, Josh Puntka, and Abraham Davis.
Honorary Pall Bearers will David Postoak, Thompson Postoak, Jimmy Taylor, Clifford Barnett, Leonard Harper, and Bill Record.
