Dorothy Lee Douglas

Dorothy Lee Douglas, 97 year-old resident of Midwest City, OK, passed away Dec. 16, 2017. Born March 15, 1920 in Holdenville, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Samuel Alexander Irwin and Ruby (Ritter) Irwin. Dorothy was a retired school teacher and a member of Wickline United Methodist Church. She loved being around children, flower gardening, and her favorite color was RED. She was a devoted wife to her husband Quinton Douglas until his passing.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Quinton Douglas; and two brothers, Milton Irwin who was killed in action in WWII in Burma fighting as a paratrooper and Leon Irwin; one sister, Mae Jo Wagner.
Survivors include her nephew, David Irwin of Midwest City, OK: one niece, Dianne and her husband Randy Schell of Arlington, Texas; other relatives, Merle Dean Wilkinson; Otis and his wife Marilyn Harrington; Ken Sparks; and Lane Ritter.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., OKC, OK 73141. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Dec. 21, 2017 at Atwood Cemetery, near Holdenville, Oklahoma with burial to follow in Atwood Cemetery.
