Charles William McDonald, 85 of Stuart passed away on November 17, 2017 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. He was born on November 29, 1931 in Stuart, Oklahoma to Daniel and Bertha (Ellison) McDonald. Charles served our country honorably in the United States Navy. Charles worked as a field services engineer for General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin until his retirement. He married Rosemary Callahan on July 23, 1984 in Durant, Oklahoma. Charles enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching basketball and football. He loved his family and friends and liked to cookout for them and play cards.
Preceding him in death are his parents, siblings Mary Evelyn Cannon, Leo Christopher McDonald, Mildred Graves, Lula Jean Newby, nieces Angela Clymer and Cris Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Rosie of the home, daughters Elizabeth Cullum and husband Jeff of Weatherford, Texas, Jackie Livingston and husband Jeff of Phoenix, Arizona, step-daughter Madolyn Brown of Greenwood, Indiana, grandchildren Rachel Dendy of Austin, Texas, Gabrielle Livingston of Phoenix, Arizona and Audra McClelland of Indianapolis, Indiana, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00PM-8:00PM on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at the Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00PM on Friday, November 24, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Calvin. Curtis Stoll will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Jeff Livingston, Jeff Shaffer, Patrick Shaffer, Mike Shaffer, Jeff Cullum, and Robbie Jones. Honorary bearers will be James Simmons, Tommy Orr, Curtis Stoll, Coy Edwards, Russell Fent, and Gene Fent. Burial will follow at Calvin Cemetery with military honors.
