Norma Lee Keen

Norma Lee Keen, 57 passed away peacefully in Stuart, Oklahoma on May 30, 2017.  She was born on May 31, 1959 in Oklahoma City to Hugh Daniel and Ruby (Foster) Manuel.  She graduated from Bethel High School in 1977.  Later, she went on to attend Oklahoma Christian College in Oklahoma City.  Norma married her love, Wiley Ray Keen Jr. on July 29, 1978 in Earlsboro, Oklahoma.  The couple enjoyed 39 years of marriage.  Always having a love of horses, Norma enjoyed being a member of the Range Riders Round-up Club and the Tecumseh Round-up Club.  In addition to loving her horses, she enjoyed baking and teaching Sunday School.  Her kind loving spirit will be missed by all those who would depend on her.  She would never deny caring or helping anyone and always enjoyed the chance to serve others.  She was a member of the Lamar Baptist Church.  Her daughters were her pride and joy and she loved nothing more than going to their school events and being a mom.  Norma worked at Heritage Village Nursing Home as a cook and housekeeper and enjoyed caring for her clients.  She also worked for the New Age Nutrition Center in Lamar and Calvin.

She is preceded in death by her father, Hugh Manuel, daughter Lisa Keen, and mother-in-law Sarah Keen.

Survivors include her husband, Wiley Keen Jr. and daughters Laura Hall and husband Chris and Lydia Keen all of Stuart, mother Ruby Manuel of Stuart, sister Doris Manuel of Seminole, father-in-law Wiley Keen Sr., brothers-in-law Daniel Keen and wife Lindy of Seminole, Tommy Keen of Nowata, Randy Keen and Marquitta of Van Buren, Arkansas, and Jeff Keen and wife Joyce of Shawnee, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00PM on Monday, June 5, 2017 at the Lamar Baptist Church with Bro. Roy Rogers officiating.  Pallbearers will be Chris Hall, Lonnie Keen, Robert Keen, Scotty Keen, Nash Keen, Timmy Foster, and Heath Alumbaugh. Interment will follow at the Non Cemetery in Non, Oklahoma.  Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville.  Online condolences to the family can be made at www.phillipsfuneralservice.com.
