Jerry Wayne McCoy
Jerry Wayne McCoy, 78 of Holdenville passed away on June 9, 2017 in Holdenville. He was born on February 13, 1939 in Lamar, Oklahoma to Chester and Senora (Perrin) McCoy. He attended school at Lamar Public Schools. He served our country honorably in the United States Navy. After his service, Jerry worked for many years as a Pipeline Operator/Inspector. He was a member of the Operators Union #627. Jerry enjoyed woodworking, knife collecting, fishing, gardening and canning his fresh vegetables. Jerry was known for his smile, charm and playing the guitar and singing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Minda Jane McClain, and granddaughter Tristan Gail Aldridge.

Survivors include his children Shari McCoy and husband Woody Rippletoe of Holdenville, Teresa McCoy and husband Bobby Harris of Texas, and Troy McCoy of Ponca City, grandchildren Jerrad Pendley, Rachel Reese, Juli Ana Andrews, and Tyla Newton, great-grandchildren Hunter Abbott, Reese Pendley, Keeli Meek, Hayden Abbott, Rhett Pendley, Jillian Montgomery, and Tripp Wilson, brother Bud McCoy and wife Ruby of Holdenville and as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be at 2:00PM on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the Old Lamar School (Community Building) in Lamar. Bro. Marcus Overturf will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be John Giles, Tom Osborn, Otis Eddington, Kenny Pendley, Jim Wakely, Billy McCoy, and Steven Gann. Honorary bearers will be Charlie Osborn, Tyler Freeman, Taden Freeman, Ray Jones, Lynn Landry and Bobby Harris. Interment will follow at the Lamar Cemetery in Lamar. Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville. Online condolences to the family can be made at
